In simple words we can say expecting good things to happen in future. An optimistic person simply think positive,be hopeful and confident in every situation.
Pessimistic:
Simply pessimistic means a negative mental attitude. An pessimists use to focus on the negative things in life always.
So we should focus on positive thing and should be optimistic in life specially during this lockdown period.
Some tips to be optimistic:

In this time to focus on positive things we are safe,we are with our family, and can cope with this situation too.
2. Explore your inner qualities
Every person have some qualities so utilise this lockdown period and find you inner qualites,follow your hobbies.
3. Practice meditation
Meditation is helpful for everyone so practice meditation for 5 to 10 minutes daily.
4. List 10 things that make you happy
So you can list 10 things that make you happy now days and follow those things
So be safe be happy and yes be optimistic.
